WELCOME to the troop 318 Message Boards. Feel free to chat to your hearts content. Also, please observe all rules.
1) Please keep topics off of possibly offensive material. While debate on topics such the NRA, the presidents policies, etc. are encouraged, arguments about topics like gay marriage arn't. If you could easily offend someone, steer clear of that topic.
2) AVOID FLAME WARS. For anyone who is web-illiterate, that means posting back and forth (and back, and forth, and back, and forth) in an off topic fight. Debate welcomed. Fighting not!
3) IF IT'S NOT YOUR PATROL, DON'T POST THERE! Our boards feature specific sections, one for each patrol (plus the admin board0. If it's not your patrols board, while you are welcome to view it, don't post anything in it. This extends to everyone except for the SPL and Scoutmasters (even I can't). The Patrol leaders can exercise their right to maintain their own boards.
4) NO DOUBLE POSTING! Double posting is when you post two consecutive messages with no one else posting in between. If you forgot to say something, use the modify feature. The only time I allow double posting is if your previous post hasn't been responded to in at least 4 days.
5) CURSING? AAARRRGGGHHHHHH!!! Language should be kept to English. The next person who I hear saying,"Pardon my French" gets shot in the head. While the boards do have an auto-censor feature, anyone who uses excesive swearing will have one warning, then be BANNED!
